Jessica Ball: 2012 Scholarship Recipient

DeKalb County High School Senior Jessica Ball, daughter of Donald and Marylou Ball, has been selected as the sixteenth annual recipient of the DTC Scholarship in Memory of McAllen Foutch. She was one of 18 students vying for this year’s scholarship.

Jessica was named amongst the Top Twenty-Five Seniors and earned Highest Distinction Honors with a 4.0 grade point average. In addition to maintaining high academic standing, she is a member of the Beta Club, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Science Club, Health Occupation Students of America, Literature Club, and various other school clubs.

Outside of the classroom, Jessica is a basketball bookkeeper and softball athlete. While playing on a traveling softball team, her team won State Tournament and second in the World Series in 2011. In addition to her studies and sports, Jessica is member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Smithville.

Jessica plans to attend Tennessee Tech University to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.
